Mezcal Tasting Dinner

Mezcal mes’kal:    is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from the heart of the maguey plant (a form of agave, Agave americana) native to Mexico.  An Oaxacan saying regarding mezcal:  “para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien también” (“for everything bad, mezcal; for everything good, the same”).  Mezcal has a strong smoky flavor and is generally consumed straight.

La Rosa is now taking reservations for our first Mezcal Tasting!   Mark your calendars for Saturday April 26th starting at 3:00 p.m.

This will be a casual mingling of those interested in this exotic Tequila cousin.  Light appetizers will be served with 3 different mescals followed by a house margarita.  David Stahl – our knowledgeable purveyor – will edify us on this interesting liquor from Mexico.  Please call us at 719-368-7676 for reservations or any questions you may have.
